Job Description

Description

We are searching for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at our TCP Dripping Springs Clinic - someone who works well in a fast-paced primary care this position youll gather information assess and provide direct care to patients. Youll also work collaboratively with other members of the health-care team to render age appropriate care.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate GED or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing
  • Current license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas
  • Active BLS certification required from American Heart Association Health Care Providers

Responsibilities

  • Provides age appropriate care for one or more of the following age groups routinely: Neonate Infant Toddler Preschool Age School Age Adolescent and Adult
  • Demonstrates Creating SMILES philosophies to patients families and co-workers
  • Assists with the collection of patient/family data
  • Provides general patient care
  • Administers medication and immunization
  • Assists with education of patient/family
  • Coordinates referrals
  • Triages patients
  • Collects specimens and performs laboratory tests
  • Fundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment
  • Knowledge of related OSHA and CLIA/COLA guidelines and requirements general office tasks confidentiality and filing systems
  • Ability to use thermometer scales sphygmomanometer/stethoscope butterfly needles hearing/vision screening equipment pulse oximetry
