Job Description
Role: Senior Support Worker
Location:Bideford Torrington
Contract:Full-Time 35 Hours per Week
Salary:33280.00 per annum (16.00 per hour)
Additional Pay:
Sleep-in Shifts: 60 per sleep-in (average of 6 per month)
On-call: 52.50 (weekday) / 89.25 (weekend) average of 2 per month
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and emotional support to individuals with mental health needs
Lead support and mentor a team of support workers on shift
Develop and review care plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs
Administer and monitor medication in line with policies and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Good understanding of safeguarding mental health conditions and recovery models
Flexible to work varied shifts including sleep-ins and on-call
Must have the right to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
DBS check required
