Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Plant Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our office buildings. The ideal candidate will ensure a sanitary comfortable and tidy work environment for employees and visitors. This position plays a key role in upholding the cleanliness standards of the facility by performing routine cleaning duties and addressing specific needs as they arise.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clean sanitize and maintain office spaces restrooms lobbies kitchens and other common areas.
  • Sweep mop vacuum and/or polish floors as required.
  • Dust and clean furniture windows fixtures and equipment.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners; ensure proper waste disposal and recycling.
  • Clean glass surfaces including doors and windows to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Replenish supplies such as toilet paper paper towels hand soap and other cleaning essentials.
  • Report any maintenance issues (such as broken fixtures or equipment) to management.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations including proper storage and use of cleaning products.
  • Assist with event setup or tear down when necessary.
  • Perform occasional deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning floor waxing and upholstery cleaning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills to report issues or requests.
  • Ability to work independently and follow a routine cleaning schedule.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their proper use.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent standing walking bending and reaching.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including heat cold and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
