About the Role:
Hitachi Energy in Alamo TN is seeking to hire a Fabricator to join our team. This position will work with the maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture.
How You Will Make A Difference:
- Position align fit and weld parts to form complete units following blueprints and layout specifications and using jigs welding torches and hand tools
- Design and construct templates and fixtures using the required tools
- Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using squares rulers and measuring tapes
- Proficient in Math and can accurately read measuring devices
- Familiar with schematic reading electrical pneumatics and general building
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge in welding (GMAW SMAW GTAW FCAW)
- Knowledge in braze welding
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination including ability to grasp manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small and/or heavy
Your Background:
Associates or technical degree in welding or related field and 1 year of experience
