The Division of Facilities Management is a customer-driven support organization responsible for providing facilities management services to all CDHS agencies and offices. These services include the maintenance of building and grounds custodial capital construction (budgeting and contract management) utilities management vehicle fleet management building space leasing allocation and facilities planning services. This is accomplished through a centralized statewide team that is divided into three districts and a central office. By combining our expert professional extensive facilities knowledge and strong commitment to reliable responsive service we enable our clients to achieve consistently high performance facilities and long-term value. Our goal is to be an organization that meets customer expectations 100% of the time. The facilities managed by the Division of Facilities Management (DFM) include 1400 acres of land and 349 buildings comprising 3.8 million square feet.
Facilities served: Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP) Pueblo Regional Center (PRC) Department of Corrections (DOC) Division of Youth Services (Zeb Pike Spring Creek and Pueblo Youth Services Center) and the Veterans Community Living Centers in the Southern District.
This position installs maintains and repairs the systems that control heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR). They may also program the systems that run HVAC in buildings. The HVAC Controls Technician supports troubleshooting and programming temperature control systems based on building specifications as well as provides insights and recommendations that contribute to task completion. Using expertise in the commercial HVAC industry this position performs installation and emergency procedures.
Experience Only:
Applicant must have at least three (3) years of Siemens building automation experience to include programming and retro-commissioning.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience as described above equal to three (3) years.
Special Qualification:
Must currently possess and maintain throughout employment in this position an active current and valid Universal CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) Certificate.
Preferred Qualification:
Experience working with Siemens Desigo.

Must be willing to submit and pass a full background check.
Must currently possess and maintain throughout employment in this position an active Universal CFC Certificate.
Must possess and maintain a valid non-restricted Colorado drivers license.
Travel This position will be required to drive State Vehicles as part of daily work assignment from site to site equipped with tools to perform daily duties. Travel to training and meetings. On occasion this position travels to other districts.
Must be willing to receive an annual influenza vaccination or provide a document for a medical exemption or a letter for religious exemption.
Must successfully pass a Tuberculosis (TB) test.
Must be available for call back to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay and/or without interruption.
Must be available for shift work. Will be required to work various hours for coverage weather related issues and essential/emergency services outside of normal business hours.

This is a full-time in-person essential position that is required to respond in person after hours to perform essential and/or emergency services of the agency in a timely manner.
Essential Positions.Positions that perform essential law enforcement highway maintenance and other support services directly necessary for the health safety and welfare of patients residents and inmates of state institutions or state facilities. Employees in essential positions can be only FLSA non-exempt and can be required to work unexpected or unusual work hours to perform the essential and/or emergency services of the department without delay and/or without interruption.
Call Back applies when an eligible employee is required to report to work before the start or after the end of a scheduled shift. If there is no release from work between the call back hours and regular shift it is considered a continuation of the shift and call back does not apply. When call back applies a minimum of two (2) hours of the employees regular base pay is guaranteed. Eligible employees are those who are eligible for overtime and any call back time is counted as work time.
