Job Description
Are you ready to make a difference on Victorias beaches this summer Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is now accepting applications for new team members for the 2025/2026 season!
Whether youre beginning your journey in beach safety or returning after some time away were thrilled to welcome enthusiastic individuals ready to be part of something meaningful and help keep our beaches safe this summer.
Where Youll Make a Splash
Were recruiting across a range of locations for the following the opportunities:
- Beach Lifeguard Beach patrols and public safety
- Rescue Water Craft (RWC) Operator Rapid response and water rescues
- Communications Operator Operational coordination and support
- Remote Pilot Aerial Service Operator (RPAS)

Were seeking team members who:
- Are a current financial member of a VictorianLife Saving club
- Are enthusiastic about beach safety and public service
- Thrive in team environments and dynamic conditions
- Are committed to professionalism and community impact
- Hold relevant qualifications and VIC Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Required Qualifications for Beach Lifeguards and RWC Operators include but are not limited to:
- Bronze Medallion
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (First Aid)
- HLTAID015 Provide Advance Resuscitation Techniques (ART)
- IRB Crew Certificate
- Silver Medallion Patrol Captain (SMPC)
- It is desirable for Communications Operators to have experience in emergency operations radio communications as well as knowledge of water safety through life saving and/or LSV/SLSA
