Job Description
Responsibilities-Ability to work cooperatively with department members to develop curriculum.-Teach the target language and culture in classes that are task-based interactive learner-centered and experiential for students.-Willingness to work with members of other departments in areas of student activities interdisciplinary units.-Willingness to assist in the general areas of supervision. Qualifications-Massachusetts certification in the field French.-Middle School teaching experience desirable.-Fluency (native or near native proficiency) in French and/or Spanish required due to oral approach.-Knowledge of the ACTFL standards and proficiency guidelines a plus:ability to integrate these standards into curriculum and instruction InformationAndover Public Schools (APS) seeks candidates who embody our ethos which includes valuing the identities of all students high expectations for all students teaching excellence collaboration innovation respect and is committed to hiring and supporting a racially and ethnically diverse faculty and staff.
