Job Description
We are looking for a kind patient and proactive Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 6 child starting in September 2025. This is a part-time role supporting the child every morning during term time from 9.00am to 1.15pm.
The ideal candidate will:
Be warm nurturing and calm in their approach
Demonstrate initiative and adaptability in responding to the childs needs
Support the pupils learning and emotional development under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
Build a trusting respectful relationship that helps the child feel safe supported and ready to learn
Be a strong communicator both with the pupil and the wider staff team
Be reliable consistent and ready to be a positive presence each day
Experience working with children particularly those with additional needs is desirable but not essential. Most important is your patience empathy and willingness to learn.
