About the role:
You will be working as part of the PwC Operate business which comprises over 3000 people across the UK South Africa and India and alongside colleagues from our other lines of service including Consulting Deals and Assurance to support our Clients in purchasing everything from IT to energy and from groceries to aircraft. We deliver our client work from a range of locations providing cost-effective solutions access to subject matter expertise and operational excellence. Our Clients include everyone from household names to new start up businesses government departments industrial giants technology leaders and global financial services firms so you can be sure of variety and plenty of opportunities to learn and contribute.
What your days will look like:
The services provided by the SC&O team can be summarized as follows:
Procurement: Supporting Clients in the delivery of procurement activities including market analysis and engagement requirements identification and management of the procurement process from initiation to contract award.
Contract and Supplier Management: Managing contracts on behalf of Clients driving to improve strategic supplier relationships 3rd party supplier risk assessment delivering and optimizing commercial assurance and undertaking detailed analysis of existing contract structures to identify improvement opportunities and current addition a separate team within Operate support the overall P2P process.
Category Management: Design of category strategies category plans and the delivery of effective category management to drive market engagement and overall value to the Client organisation.
Supply Chain Management: Management of existing supply chains (internal and 3rd party) and analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
In addition to the above we have a range of supporting services including spend analysis procurement maturity assessment fraud analytics cost modelling business case development fraud analytics commercial governance and assurance and many more.
This role is for you if:
You will have 3 years or more of procurement or supply chain experience and will be looking for an opportunity to further develop your skills and experience. Following recent wins we are specifically looking for individuals with significant experience in procurement and contract management of IT FM and
other indirect categories of spend. We undertake a significant amount of work in the Public Sector so knowledge of the previous EU regulations and the impact of the Procurement Act 2023 as well as clearance at SC is highly desirable. Team Player you will always be part of a team both within Operate and on specific projects so you need to manage your contribution effectively delivering work on time in budget and in step with what the rest of the team are doing at all times.
Location
You will be based in our Birmingham office with some opportunity for home working. We have a wide variety of clients and projects in other locations within the UK and beyond so travel and spending time away from home is likely to be required to support delivery particularly during the inaugural phases of key engagements
