Westfield ME - FT/Days - Seasonal Opening
Job Description:
Now hiring reliable individuals to join the work crew for a local potato farm! Great opportunity for active individuals. Seasonal work expected to be available from September to October. Full-time/Days; $18.00/hr.
The Harvest Worker will be responsible for sorting grading and packing potatoes ensuring that all quality standards are met. Employee will also be responsible for general upkeep of the warehouse and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Additional duties may include loading trucks and/or transporting potatoes and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Sort potatoes by size and quality.
- Remove rocks debris or damaged potatoes from harvested crops.
- Pack potatoes for shipping or storage.
- Perform general upkeep of the warehouse and work areas.
- Assist with general labor and field clean-up.
- Assist with loading trucks and moving inventory.
- Follow all safety procedures as directed by site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Willingness towork outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Prior farm or harvest experience a plus but not required.
Pay:$18.00/hr.
Schedule:Hours may vary depending on weather/harvest conditions. Work day starts at 6:00 AM.
