Job Description
Test Planning and Execution:
- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
- Execute manual test cases for web mobile and desktop applications.
- Assist in designing developing and executing automated test scripts (if applicable).
Bug Identification and Reporting:
- Identify document and report bugs or issues using tracking tools (e.g. Jira Bugzilla).
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
Quality Assurance Support:
- Perform functional regression and performance testing.
- Validate fixes and ensure the system operates as expected.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of test results and provide regular updates to team leads.
- Create and maintain user guides and training documentation if needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT Engineering or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with testing methodologies (e.g. black-box white-box).
- Hands-on experience with test management tools or bug-tracking systems is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring product quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- 0-1 years of experience in software testing (internships or academic projects are also considered).
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum development practices is beneficial.
