As a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist youll play a pivotal role in ensuring Wises adherence to regulatory requirements particularly those supporting our ongoing licensing and regulatory reporting requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Regulatory Reporting: Manage US and Canada regulatory reporting ensuring timely and accurate submission of ongoing and ad hoc reporting requests
License Maintenance: Lead the preparation and management of all US and Canada license renewals and annual reporting ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Regulatory RFIs: Intake and coordinate response to all requests for information (RFIs) ensuring timely and accurate submission.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and harmonize data
Record Retention: Ensure all supporting records are retained in compliance with all regulatory requirements
Regulatory Engagements: Support the Compliance team in completing periodic regulatory engagements.
About you:
Knowledge of money transmission unclaimed property and consumer compliance regulations (Reg E UDAAP E-Sign Act etc.)
3 years experience in licensing and / or regulatory reporting including experience:
Utilizing NMLS and US / Canadian state and territory portals and processes to deliver ad hoc and ongoing regulatory reporting
Working with internal cross-functional stakeholders including product operation finance legal and people teams
Communicating effectively with external stakeholders including auditors and regulators
Very detail-oriented
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Discretion and personal integrity especially in regards to sensitive financial personal and corporate information
Ability to be both reactive and help solve problems in the moment as well as proactive building longer term solutions using data-driven decision making
Experience (or interest) in working at a fast-paced internet technology or financial services companies in risk or compliance
Experience using G-Suite Office Confluence Jira and collaborative tools (e.g. Slack Teams)
Willing to travel as Wise offices are located across different countries; and
Legally authorized to work in the U.S
Some extra skills that would be great:
Experience working in the Money Services Business (MSB) industry
Experience working with international teams and understanding of global regulatory environments.
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager or similar qualification
Prior experience working with the CFPB OCC and/or state regulator (e.g. NYDFS DFPI)
