NegotiableGeneral Description/Primary Purpose:
The School of Computing is seeking a 9-month tenure-earning Assistant Professor. Candidates with research interests in cybersecurity or related area preferred. Position responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester in fall and spring research and service.
Supervisor: This position will report to Dr. Nan Niu Professor and Director of School of Computing.
Anticipated Start Date: The contract start date is December 17 2025 (for Spring 2026 Semester).
Working Hours: Varies
Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a Ph.D. in the field of Computing from an accredited institution by no later than the position start date. They must also demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and research.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
Candidates with research interests in cybersecurity preferred. Demonstrated potential to be actively involved in service activities including participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the School College and University.

The School of Computing offers undergraduate academic programs in computer science data science information systems information technology information science and financial technology (fintech) a Masters program in Computing and Information Sciences with concentrations in computer science data science cybersecurity and information systems and a PhD program with concentrations in cybersecurity and intelligent systems.
