Job Description

Bridging Families Supervisor (Hendersonville)
Location:Office located in Hendersonville North Carolina. Travel to locations in Henderson Polk and Rutherford Counties.
Your Impact:As the Bridging Families Supervisor you will play a critical role in shaping the lives of children and families within the child welfare system. Youll oversee the daily operations of the Bridging Families program ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as well as accreditation standards. Youll empower Bridge Parents to provide a safe nurturing and structured environment for children helping them thrive. This position directly impacts the success of family reunifications and out-of-home placements while supporting a therapeutic approach to care.

As a Bridging Families Supervisor you will be responsible for implementing program goals and performance metrics ensuring the effectiveness of the Bridging Families program. Youll lead staff ensuring they are trained supported and compliant with all necessary policies. The work you do will provide hope and stability for children while maintaining the high standards of Crossnore Communities for Children.
Hiring Range:$51000 to $60000 annually - Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Candidates who meet only the minimum requirements can expect to start at the beginning of the range while those with additional and relevant experience and/or advanced skills may be considered for higher starting pay within the range.

Education/Experience/Licensure
  • Meets requirements for a Qualified Professional which are:
    • Masters degree in a human services or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year supervised clinical experience working with children and families;
    • Bachelors degree in a human services field and two years experience with the current population;
    • or a Bachelors degree in a non-human services field and four years experience with the current population.
  • Minimum of two years experience in working with children and families preferably in a mental health or child welfare setting.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience supervising foster care Bridging Families or group care living program staff strongly preferred
  • TIPS-MAPP and Deciding Together certified strongly preferred
Skills/Competencies
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to hold both self and staff accountable.
  • Ability to give constructive feedback and coach staff in areas of strength and improvement.
  • General knowledge of state child welfare and mental health systems; familiarity with COA CARF and JACHO accreditation processes a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills including superior customer service.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff community collaborators and clients.
  • Passionate about serving youth and families and dedicated to supporting the staff who serve them.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to change quickly.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills capable of motivating and inspiring staff.
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters especially in crisis situations.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations including youth from various cultural racial and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Flexibility creativity and willingness to make and learn from mistakes.
  • Valid Drivers License and willingness to travel to job-related locations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Bridging Families program.
  • Implement program goals and performance metrics ensuring the program meets all expectations.
  • Develop and lead in-service training ensuring staff adhere to clinical and Sanctuary Model standards.
  • Maintain and review logs medical files and reports related to residents ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage and monitor all budgets including groceries and special activities for residents.
  • Develop routines and manage the day-to-day functioning of Bridge Homes ensuring cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Train Bridge Parents on trauma-informed care and resident management skills utilizing Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and other therapeutic models.
  • Ensure staff are trained on foster care regulations and oversee licensure and documentation processes for Bridge Parents.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Office to interview hire and supervise staff providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Hold staff accountable for meeting program requirements providing necessary training and ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Assist in managing cases ensuring proper documentation and coordination of services for each resident.
  • Facilitate treatment team meetings and participate in program planning and evaluations.
  • Coordinate transportation for students and assist in maintaining proper documentation for court appearances and discharge planning.
