About the Position:
Pelham Memorial School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic middle school basketball coach to lead our student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for teaching basketball fundamentals developing athletes skills and fostering a positive and competitive team environment.
- Teach basketball fundamentals including dribbling passing shooting and defense.
- Develop and implement training plans that cater to the abilities and needs of middle school athletes.
- Coach and mentor athletes to improve their basketball skills and performance.
- Organize and supervise practices and games.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all basketball players.
- Communicate effectively with athletes parents and school administration.
Qualifications:
- CPR certification is mandatory.
- Experience coaching basketball or related sports is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for basketball and a commitment to developing young athletes.
- Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations.
Availability:
- Monday through Friday after school hours 4:30 to 6:30 PM for practices in addition to 1 or 2 weekend days throughout the season.
- Season runs from November 10th to the beginning of February.
