A WNY manufacturer is looking to hire an experienced Financial Analyst. This role will support the companys financial operations ensuring accurate reporting compliance with accounting standards and effective cost tracking across multiple business units or locations. This position plays a vital role in the analysis of product and customer profitability by understanding inventory and cost accounting and financial statement preparation.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in analysis accounting within a manufacturing environment and thrives in a fast-paced detail-oriented setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supporting monthly P&L review and analysis through assistance in preparing internal financial statement reviews with global partners.
Tracking and analyzing inventory transactions cost of goods sold and production variances on a monthly basis to gain an understanding of product profitability.
Supporting and assisting in ongoing MS Business Central (ERP implementation) projects by facilitating cost comparisons between legacy and new ERP systems playing an integral role in the project success.
Supporting standard costing margin analysis and cost center reviews in partnership with operations.
Ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies internal controls and SOX requirements if applicable.
Participating in ongoing improvements to accounting systems and manufacturing reporting tools.
Participating in monthly and quarterly close activities including journal entries account reconciliations and internal reporting as needed.
Assisting in external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
