System Test Engineer Onsite (Colorado Springs CO Schriever Space Force Base)
An organization is seeking a System Test Engineer to support the Command Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This is an onsite role in Colorado Springs CO at Schriever Space Force Base.
The C2BMC program integrates the Missile Defense System and is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president secretary of defense and combatant commanders to plan ballistic missile defense operations. It provides a collective operational picture and allows dynamic management of networked sensors and weapons systems. The program also plays a crucial role in system ground and flight tests verifying and exercising current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The System Test Team manages planning and analysis for all Missile Defense System (MDS) ground and flight tests related to the C2BMC program. Ground test types include pairwise tests Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) Integrated Ground Test (GTI) Distributed Ground Test (GTD) cyber tests Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and pre-flight test HWIL efforts. Flight tests are conducted using specialized sensors and instrumentation. International events involve various ground and flight testing activities.
Plan all assigned test events focusing on developing and implementing the required test artifacts including:
Test objectives
Architecture
Data Item Descriptions
Defense Designs
Sensor Resource Management (SRM) settings
Operational Tasking Data Link (OPTASKLINK)
Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) configuration and Forwarding Tables
CDS TDACS and TRAUT TDACS
Comms Connectivity Matrices
Event Configuration Baseline (ECB)
System Adjustable Parameters (SAPs)/Site-Specific Parameters (SSPs)
BDR and PR applicability
Certification Data Packages
Provide support for:
Planning phase reviews and meetings
Customer boards and meetings
Data Management
Developer and government personnel interface during event execution
Anomaly resolution and troubleshooting
Analysis group support
Failure Review Boards (FRBs)
Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance.
5 years of related experience with a Bachelors Degree in STEM
OR 3 years with a Masters degree
OR 1 year with a PhD
OR 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) including sensors shooters command and control systems and networks.
Prior experience in integration and testing within the C2BMC program.
Strong communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills; self-starter capable of working effectively in a fast-paced team environment with government clients and personnel.
Full Time
