Job Description

Abound Health is seeking a DSP Advocate to join our team in a remote capacity within North Carolina. In this role you will report to the Chief Engagement and Experience Officer. As a DSP Advocate you will champion the experience of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) by providing support guidance education and problem resolution. You will play a key role in improving DSP satisfaction retention and overall experience while upholding Abound Healths mission vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for DSPs by helping them understand employment benefits resources and support systems.
  • Resolve concerns by listening documenting and implementing acceptable resolutions.
  • Counsel supervisors and managers to improve DSP satisfaction and address emerging issues.
  • Provide training and user support on the OnTarget EHR system.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow Abound Healths policies and procedures.
  • Promote a positive respectful atmosphere for DSPs and clients alike.
  • Ensure clients dignity privacy and safety by supporting abuse prevention ethical behavior and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of ISP Implementation task analysis and goal writing.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and third-party billing requirements.
  • Commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
  • Experience working in team-based environments with diverse populations.

Education:

  • High School Diploma (required)

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid drivers license with a safe driving record
  • No substantiated findings of abuse and/or neglect
  • Successful completion of background checks (Criminal LEIE NC Health Care Registry and Sexual Offender)

Compensation & Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time hourly non-exempt position is between $20.00 - $25.00. Base pay is determined by factors such as work location experience job-related skills and relevant education or addition to base pay total compensation may include various other forms of pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including competitive health dental and wellness benefits which begin on your 60th day of employment.
