Job Description

Salary Range: $35.23-$50.83 per hour

SUMMARY

Housing for Health (HFH) is a program office within Community Programs a division under the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS). HFH was created and put into implementation in support of the Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative recommendations in response to and in support of the Countys effort to address and combat homelessness in the communities residing within Los Angeles County.

The Assistant Staff Analyst will provide support to the City-County Coordination unit; focused on the oversight coordination and alignment of goals andresources across LA County. This includes but is not limited to technical assistance data gathering & analysis as well as community and stakeholder engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supports the alignment of priorities and resources between Los Angeles County and its partner cities.
  • Provides administrative support by managing incoming data tracking key performance indicators and the analysis of outreach outcomes and data quality.
  • Assists with the development of policies procedures program benchmarks.
  • Assists with coordination of key stakeholdersincluding internal program staff participating departments partner agencies contracted service providers and other groupsto ensure seamless project operations.
  • Assists with inter-agency coordination and service deployment.
  • Represents the Street Based Engagement team at meetings special events etc.
  • Facilitates internal and external stakeholder communications to promote efficient collaboration.
  • Performs related duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Three or more years of highly complex administrative experience in the health housing social services or related sectors.

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances

  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
  • Successful clearing through the Live Scan process with the County of Los Angeles.

Other Skills Knowledge and Abilities

  • Previous work with data systems and learning new data systems.
  • Experience in working with people experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills with colleagues external partners and contractors.
  • Ability to schedule and facilitate meetings.
  • Ability to work in a professional manner with courtesy and tact and maintain confidentiality and security of documents and information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals and partners both internally and externally.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills initiative and follow-through.
  • Computer literate and skilled in use of MS Windows-based programs including MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Microsoft Teams etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of data systems utilized across the homeless system of care e.g. CHAMP ORCHID Clarity Resource Management System etc.
