This is an outstanding opportunity to drive product success and directly impact a growing company! Were seeking a Chemical Product Portfolio Associate to take charge of our extensive product catalog currently exceeding 1000 SKUs and rapidly expanding.
In this pivotal role youll work closely with the CEO and Chemist transforming their product vision into reality by managing the entire product lifecycle. This includes sourcing price negotiation supplier selection and launching new products. Youll be the go-to person for all product data and documentation such as technical data sheets and certifications.

Responsibilities: What Youll Do
Your success in this role will be defined by your ability to manage and grow our product portfolio ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across the organization.
Product & Supplier Lifecycle Management
- Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle: Manage everything from initial product sourcing price negotiation and supplier selection to gathering critical product data and documentation (e.g. technical data sheets certifications).
- Lead product launches and integration: Oversee the successful launch of new products ensuring their seamless integration across all departments including Operations Marketing IT and Customer Relations.
- Cultivate strategic supplier relationships: Youll be the primary point of contact for all new and existing suppliers. This includes onboarding new partners a process that involves a rigorous vetting to confirm their financial stability operational capabilities and adherence to our high quality standards. Beyond the initial checks youll also implement and oversee a regular schedule for re-evaluating existing suppliers ensuring their ongoing compliance and performance.
Product Information Management
- Centralize product information management: Own the accuracy and consistency of all product information across various platforms including website product pages and packaging labels.
- Champion customer satisfaction: Youll act as the primary liaison between Customer Relations the Quality team and our suppliers to diligently track and manage customer complaints from a vendor management perspective. While Customer Relations directly handles customer interactions youll ensure their concerns are fully understood and addressed by coordinating vital information flow and advocating for effective solutions based on your insights. Youll also collaborate closely with the Quality department who are responsible for investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions. Your role will be to maintain transparent communication with all internal stakeholders regarding resolution progress and outcomes.
Data-Driven Strategy & Collaboration
- Demand Planning: Collaborate closely with Inventory and Finance to develop accurate forecasts and optimize purchasing strategies ensuring we have the right products in the right quantities onsite. Youll leverage product data analytics sales results and market insights to inform these plans and translate this information into actionable workflows and direction for the Marketing team to build effective campaign strategies.
- Inform marketing strategies: Leverage product data analytics including sales results and market information to provide insights and direction to the marketing team for building effective campaigns.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and Chemist to translate product vision into actionable plans and collaborate effectively with Operations Customer Relations Finance Marketing and IT to ensure successful product initiatives.
Qualifications & Expertise: What Youll Bring
Were looking for individuals who are not only skilled but also eager to grow with us.
- Must-Haves:
- 3 years of progressive experience in Product Management Product Development or a related role within a company managing a significant SKU count (ideally 500 SKUs).
- Overall strong understanding of supply chain processes.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the full product lifecycle from ideation and sourcing to launch and post-launch optimization.
- Proven track record in supplier relationship management including sourcing negotiation vetting (financial operational quality) and ongoing performance management.
- Exceptional project management skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities deadlines and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities: Proven capability to secure favorable terms and build lasting supplier partnerships.
- Analytical prowess: Proficient in leveraging product data sales results and market insights to drive strategic decisions and inform demand planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to clearly articulate complex information influence stakeholders and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous in tracking supplies managing product data and ensuring accuracy across all product information.
- Problem-solving aptitude: Capable of identifying issues and advocating for effective solutions.
- Experience in demand planning and inventory forecasting working closely with with cross-functional teams
- Strong technical skills including inventory management platform experience and Excel
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Degree in supply chain management business administration or similar fields
- Chemical experience
- Experience with product data management and documentation (e.g. technical data sheets certifications compliance).

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week occasional overtime) with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. This role reports to CEO.
