Description
Part-Time Activity Assistant
Little Flower Manor is seeking a Part-Time Activity Assistant to support our Activity Director in developing and leading engaging programs for residents.
Every other weekend and some weekday shifts for a total of 40 hours bi-weekly
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with planning organizing and directing activity programs.
- Assisting with documenting resident care and care planning activities.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for activities.
- Helping to assess resident activity needs and develop care plans.
- Encouraging resident participation in hobbies crafts games and other activities.
- Visiting residents and providing one-on-one assistance as needed.
- Participating in Mass activities as scheduled.
- Ensuring the confidentiality of resident care information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience preferred but on-the-job training is provided.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a good moral character.
- Ability to work effectively with elderly ill or disabled individuals displaying patience tact and a cheerful disposition.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand English.
- Capable of performing physical tasks including standing walking bending lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling in excess of 100 pounds occasionally.
