The Human Resource Unit of the King County Solid Waste Division (SWD) is inviting applications for an HR Administrative Staff Assistant to join our team! This person will be a key member of our busy HR team and will be responsible for providing administrative support to the team including recruiting processes employee onboarding labor relations payroll leave management and record-keeping. This is an exciting opportunity to make a large direct impact within the Solid Waste Division as the HR team innovates and implements changes to support the growing and rapidly evolving division. This is also a great opportunity for individuals who would like to learn more and develop skills within the Human Resources field.

About this Role:

This role is an integral part of the HR Section supporting all HR functions within the section such as recruitments onboarding and offboarding labor relations leave management payroll and general this role you will help support hiring in a large and growing division full of diverse jobs and people provide customer service to employees on all things HR help manage HR communications activities and handle a variety of HR projects. You will serve as the primary manager of the sections Internal and external SharePoint sites and record keeping. The ASA role also assists with key projects such as planning and hosting division-wide new employee orientations managing meeting schedules and supporting our presence at various career fairs.
