Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for data and innovation As the AVP Insurance Data Platform Lead at Everest Insurance youll be at the forefront of transforming how commercial insurance leverages analytics. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and love collaborating across teams to deliver impactful solutions this is your opportunity to lead from the front.
In this role youll work closely with Underwriting Operations and business leaders to build and integrate data platforms that power smarter decisions. From backend systems like the Data Warehouse and WINS to modern cloud-first architecture youll be central to Everests data transformation journey.
Partner with internal teams to understand strategic analytics and BI needs
Lead technology initiatives that deliver actionable data-driven capabilities aligned with business goals
Develop and execute data and analytics strategies and roadmaps for rapid delivery and scalability
Define and implement modern cloud-based data architecture tooling and governance
Enable intuitive self-service access to secure high-quality data across the enterprise
Support rapid ingestion of new data and deployment of advanced analytic models
Promote engineering practices that encourage reuse automation and inner sourcing in a cloud-first DevOps environment
Champion data transformation and cloud adoption with a focus on security governance and data integrity
Manage cross-team delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes within scope time and budget
A bachelors degree in Computer Science MIS or a related field
8-10 years of experience including 5 in the insurance industry
Deep expertise in Azure cloud platform and data engineering
Proficiency in Python PySpark SQL and Databricks
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and streaming frameworks like Apache Kafka
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI Tableau or Qlik
Strong understanding of data warehousing modeling and structured/unstructured data
Hands-on experience with DevOps in Azure and high-volume data processing
An agile mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and build strong cross-functional relationships
Experience services in AKS environments
The base salary range for this position is $173000 - $237500 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage an employee wellness program life and disability insurance 401k match retirement savings plan paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
