Job Description
The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center is currently recruiting for a fellowship trained Surgical Oncologist with a Focus in Breast surgery. The appointment rank will be at the level of Instructor level. Applicant must be American Board Certified in General Surgery and be eligible for a Texas Medical License.
The position will entail clinical responsibilities at Texas Health Resources Frisco.
Specifically the position entails the treatment of patients with both benign and malignant breast conditions. A commitment to basic or clinical research will be supported.
Successful candidates will be committed to patient care resident and medical student education and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine. Candidates will be an integral member of the surgical oncology team
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research work on or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
