Description

Collaborates with the Dean of Law and Graduate Student Affairs and Assistant Dean of Law Student Affairs on student affairs matters as well as with the Office of Academic Services when needed. Engages directly with student groups and the Office Coordinator for Law Student Affairs to understand and address law student perspectives and needs. Assists with the management of varied law student issues in coordination with the Dean of Students for Law and Graduate Students or other members of the Student Affairs division including the Office of Academic Services. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with planning logistics and budgets for new law student orientation programs

  • Assisting with annual updates to student policies and handbook

  • Assisting on initiatives designed to ensure an inclusive law student community

  • Serving as a point of contact and advisor to law student organizations; works in close coordination with the Associate Dean of Student Leadership and Involvement and the Universitys Student Leadership & Involvement office to maximize University resources for law student activities and events

  • Assisting with exam administration including serving as a back-up proctor for law exams

  • Responding to requests for letters of good standing from students seeking to transfer

  • Assisting in the planning and preparation for graduation

  • Responding in a timely manner to email communications in the Law Dean of Students account

  • Working with the Office of Academic Services on the bar certification process
