The Newark Street School serving children in Grades 1st-8th seeks a 1.0 FTE primary grade teacher to join our school community. The candidate selected will be a primary teacher who is passionate about working with all students in core content areas in the classroom and in outdoor spaces. The candidate will have experience with outdoor education or a willingness to learn about and help establish a thriving primary grades program that has a Exploratory Friday regular invigorating outdoor component. The candidate selected will be part of a teaching team including other teachers special educators and interventionists. The teams PLC co-planning time is dedicated to rigorous core instruction and personalized learning as outlined in the Newark Street Schools Continuous Improvement Plan. Expertise in co-planning integrating project-based learning transferable skills with research-based reading writing and mathematics instruction is a requirement. The pay range for this position is currently $42944-$83411. However the teacher contract is currently under negotiation and there will be an increase to this range for the 2025-2026 academic year.
