Job Position Summary
1) Shall be responsible for conducting all First Aid training classes as per the approved syllabus for Cabin Crew and Flight Crew.
2) Shall be responsible for conducting medical related incident investigation.
- Key responsibilities
1) Shall be responsible to conduct all first aid training for initial/ recurrent/corrective/ AED classes as per approved syllabus.
2) Shall be responsible to conduct evaluation (written and viva) for all relevant training.
3) Will ensure that all training policies and discipline is strictly complied with as per laid down procedures and protocols.
4) Shall conduct inquiries on any first aid incident that may occur on flights.
5) Maintain training records of all classes in the master files and crew personal files.
6) During classes to ensure that all equipment are available and serviceable.
7) Shall ensure serviceability of equipment available at outstation bases. Any damage repairs needed should be highlighted to Manager First Aid Training Cabin Safety Training Manager (CSTM).
8) Maintain record of contents of First-aid Kit carried into class for training and update the stock of bandages whenever used.
9) Shall ensure that adequate stocks of bandages/ AED training pads are available at all times to meet training requirements.
10) Depletion in stocks to be informed to Manager - First Aid.
11) Training and Cabin Safety Training Manager (CSTM). Post approval procurement process will be followed.
12) Coach and mentor new Instructors and provide feedback.
13) Assist Manager - First Aid Training to conduct training needs analysis.
14) Provide feedback for Training enhancement.
15) In the absence of Manager - First Aid Training the designated First Aid Instructor will assume her roles & responsibilities to ensure continuity of First Aid training functions.
16) In the absence of a First Aid Instructor a proper handover shall be given to the person(s) designated by Manager - First Aid Training. The designated Instructor will assume his/ her roles & responsibilities to ensure continuity of First Aid training functions.
17) Any other duties assigned by Cabin Safety Training Manager / Manager - First Aid Training.
Desired Qualification / certifications
As per CAR Section 7 Series M Part 1
- A doctor holding MBBS degree or
- BSc Nursing degree and registered Nurse or
- Paramedic with recognized first aid training
