Job Summary
Assists with a variety of health care tasks from taking dental x-rays and caring for patients to helping file records and appointment scheduling.

Essential Functions
-Assists dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
-Records treatment information in patient records.
-Exposes dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
-Gives patients information on dental hygiene oral health care and plaque control programs.
-Collects and records medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
-Provides postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
-Orders dental supplies and maintains dental equipment inventory.
-Fabricates temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
Education
Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Dental Assistant required

Basic Life Support BLS Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Dental Assistant State License - Generic - required
