Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Cyber Capability Developer (Senior Level) to support the evaluation development and enhancement of cyber defense capabilities. This role involves static and dynamic analysis of source code and binaries reverse engineering development of internal tooling and technical guidance on secure software development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity code analysis and secure development practices supporting mission-critical initiatives in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) in evaluating delivered software and its compliance with security best practices.
Conduct static code analysis in languages such as C C Java C# Groovy Python Perl Pup JavaScript Ruby Bash PowerShell and Objective C.
Perform dynamic manual and automated binary reverse engineering to identify vulnerabilities or malicious logic.
Provide technical insights on malicious indicators and secure coding standards for both source code and compiled binaries.
Assess code libraries against OWASP Top 10 and other industry best practices.
Create tools scripts frameworks and extensions to streamline software security analysis.
Conduct in-depth static and dynamic analysis of known and unknown binaries perform functional source code reviews and analyze hardware/firmware as required.
Provide expert guidance on secure software and web development techniques and methodologies.
Identify and assess security risks threats and vulnerabilities in information systems and services.
Deliver presentations knowledge transfer sessions and prepare detailed reports such as secure code assessments and risk analysis.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Masters degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Assurance or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in software security analysis reverse engineering or cyber capability development.
Strong hands-on experience with static and dynamic code analysis malware analysis and secure software development.
Proficiency in multiple programming/scripting languages as listed above.
Certifications:
Required: CompTIA Security or equivalent
Preferred: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CJIS systems or federal security standards.
Familiarity with OWASP NIST guidelines and secure SDLC practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex security assessments and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
