Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering LLC (ICE) is actively seeking aQuality Assurance Managerto join ourConstruction Engineering & Inspection (CEI)team support various transportation projects supporting our CEI pursuits in Virginia.
Summary As Quality Assurance Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality processes ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction quality management excellent leadership skills and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities - Development and implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance program adhering to established processes and procedures.
- Effective collaboration with project stakeholders including design teams contractors and subcontractors to articulate and ensure understanding of quality requirements.
- Regular inspections and audits are conducted to verify compliance with specifications contract requirements and applicable codes.
- Identify and address potential quality issues by reviewing project plans specifications and design documents.
- Monitoring quality metrics and performance indicators helps identify trends areas for improvement and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Leading training programs to enhance project personnels awareness and understanding of quality standards.
- In the event of quality incidents or non-conformances the position involves investigating and developing corrective and preventive action plans.
- Keeping abreast of industry advancements regulations and emerging trends in quality management and integrating them into the project quality assurance program.
- It is important to note that the position description serves as a summary and additional related duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by the manager.
Education and Experience Requirements - Licensed VA PE.
- 10 years of experience managing CEI Projects and familiarity with DOT best practices desired
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fleet drivers must possess a valid drivers license and a safe driving record.
- Must complete a pre-employment screening; ICE is a drug-free workplace.
Physical Demands The role involves moderate physical activity such as walking standing bending and climbing stairs or ladders. Employees may occasionally lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds. It is essential for employees to navigate construction sites skillfully and conduct thorough inspections of materials and structures. Employees must have the ability to visually discern and differentiate details and colors of objects and proficiency in recognizing sound tone and pitch. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods. Employees must be capable of working in varied environmental conditions including hot cold and noisy settings and be able to stand and walk during site visits. Additionally working on construction projects may involve night work and weekend work depending on the project scope and may include working in conditions with active traffic. Expected Hours of Work The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule.
