Title of Position: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Part Time Non Unit 3 days per week Bilingual Preferred
Work Year: September - June
Effective Date of
Employment: 2025-2026 School Year
Salary: $37285 to $60585 (full time equivalent) According to the Non-unit Therapist Salary schedule - based on clinical experience and education
Organizational Structure: Clinically supervised by an ASHA certified state board licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP); responsible for other instructional and general duties as indicated by the Director of Special Education Principal of the Building directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designees and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
Statement of Duties: Carries out these tasks under the direction of a Supervising Speech-Language Pathologist:
- Assist speech-language screenings (without interpretation)
- Assist with informal documentation as directed by the supervisor
- Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervisor
- Document student performance (service documentation progress reports annual IEP reports)
- Prepare materials and schedule activities for direct therapy
Qualifications:
- Speech Assistant License through the Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Division of Professional Licensure Commonwealth of Massachusetts
