Job Description
Job Title: Senior R&D Engineer
Location: Greater Des Moines Area (open to relocate upon offer)
Duration: 6 months
Will be working on smartstick project designing the architecture for a new version
Responsibilities:
- Enhance software and fix bugs for Smartstick V5 and design and implement the groundwork for Smartstick V6.
- Work on a cross-functional project team to meet customer requirements and expectations.
- Develop test document and maintain software solutions driven by a seasonal schedule.
- Develop an understanding of field and lab equipment for R&D.
- Work safely around common shop equipment demonstrate respect for the environment and work in a legal and ethical manner.
- Work as a valued teammate with the highest respect for all people.
Qualifications:
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson (5 years mandatory)
- Experience with GStreamer.
- Proven experience developing solutions in Python and C.
- Ability to work safely around common shop equipment.
- Demonstrated respect for the environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Must have:
- Nvidia Jetson (5 years)
- Gstreamer (or something comparable- yolo)
- Python
- C
Nice to have:
- Experience developing solutions in C#.NET and Structured Text.
- PLC Programming
- Machine vision
