- Description
- A PC refresh technician helps users to upgrade their computers operating system or replace an old laptop or personal computer As a PC refresh technician the job duties also include troubleshooting issues for users of obsolete operating systems or users who are having difficulties with upgrades
- Responsibilities
- Follow documentation to complete computer provisioning
- Set up and configure computers and peripheral equipment such as monitor printer scanner etc
- Conducted data migration and backups including user account creation and Windows settings configuration for PCs
- Perform audits and tests on computer systems networks and hardware to ensure it is functioning properly
- Respond to support requests and assist in troubleshooting any problems that arise
- Attempt to replicate reported technical problems and look for solutions
- Ensure all software and hardware is uptodate and install updates as required
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to avoid system outages and failures
- Maintain computer documentation for colleagues to reference
- Train colleagues on how to effectively use computer systems and components
- Use ServiceNow ticketing system for documenting migrationrefresh activities daily
- Skills Qualifications
- Certificate or associates degree in a relevant field
- DOS Command and scripting understanding
- Exemplify strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and brainstorm creative solutions to complex problems is essential
- Must have strong time management skills and work productively with minimal supervision
- Familiarity and understanding of the functions of basic computer hardware and software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative attitude are a must
- Ability to explain technical problems in laymans terms
- Must have sound analytical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Resource must have Windows 10 experience
- Experience Level
- 3 years experience in a technical support or customer service role are desired
