Title: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Schedule: Night Shift 3x12-Hour (18:30 06:00) Every Other Weekend

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This RN will provide high-quality obstetric and postpartum care in a high-volume labor and delivery setting. Candidates should have at least 1 year of recent L&D experience and be proficient in fetal monitoring neonatal care and postpartum assessments.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to laboring patients assist with deliveries and manage postpartum recovery
Perform sterile vaginal exams administer medications (e.g. Pitocin Magnesium Sulfate) and assist in high-risk deliveries
Circulate for C-sections and recover post-op patients
Triage obstetric patients and conduct NSTs
Educate and support patients and families on postpartum care and newborn safety
Monitor and document fetal heart rates using EFM and IUPC
Collaborate with OB/GYNs and the perinatal team to ensure patient safety and comfort
Maintain compliance with hospital protocols HIPAA and infection control standards
Must be able to float to like units as needed
On-call required
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Block scheduling: Per manager discretion
RTO must be declared during submission
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
Experience in 1:1 3 patient ratios
First-time travelers accepted
License:
Active RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) No pending license accepted

Labor & delivery management (vaginal delivery C-sections amnioinfusions)
Medication administration (Mag Sulfate Pitocin Insulin Drips Terbutaline)
Fetal monitoring (EFM IUPC internal/external monitoring)
Neonatal and postpartum care (APGAR scoring thermoregulation hypoglycemia management)
Pain management (Epidural anesthesia Nitrous Oxide PCA use)
Emergency response (hemorrhage shock abnormal fetal heart rate recognition)
IV therapy central line management blood administration
