RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop manage and execute inventory through the distribution centers ensuring good decision making on proper replenishment planning shelf life customer requirements and least cost optimization. This should align with sales needs.
- Manage and assign loading locations for finished goods delay trucks and order loading to deliver to the customers needs and reduce distressed product.
- Good communication and execution skills with Operations Traffic Distribution Supply Chain Accounting Warehouses and Sales/Marketing to identify opportunities for better customer service and resource allocation to maintain minimum shortages.
- Develop manage and execute inventory levels of individual products based on anticipated sales known sales planned inventory capacity restraints raw material availability and product shelf life. Scheduler must have excellent understanding of customer order patterns on fresh product.
- Responsible for preparation and monitoring of daily shift schedules for Retail Tray Pack processing and entering of work orders utilizing scheduling workbench. Detail communications on product schedule include changing customer pre-price and ship to location.
- Additional duties assigned based on current business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- At least one year of experience in one or combined areas of Plant operations Transportation Logistics Production Scheduling Distribution or Supply Chain experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
- Strong Interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Have strong process orientation skills.
- Strong skills working with AS400.
- Strong skills in Excel spreadsheets
- A pattern of initiative and leadership
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Able to work some Saturdays when required.
Preferred:
- Associate degree in Business
- Main Frame Experience

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $19.00-$26.75 per hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
