We are looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our highly professional team of specialists that provides detailed engineering and project management services across a wide range of bridge design projects. As a valued member of our team you will be performing design analysis and management duties under the technical guidance of seasoned professionals. As your role expands you may be supervising or coordinating the work of other engineers and technicians on assigned projects and taking responsibility for project deliverables. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Perform engineering design and analysis for a wide variety of bridge projects
- Perform inspections and assessments of bridges and other structures
- Prepare work plans schedules and budgets for project planning and execution
- Prepare design calculations and oversee drawing production in accordance with applicable design codes
- Prepare standard construction documents such as technical specifications and tender documents
- Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents
- Integrate sustainability principles in your work

On top of that you will:
- Hold a Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering (Masters degree preferred) with minimum 4 years of related experience in Bridge Design or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Be a registered Professional Engineer in home province or state or ability to obtain registration in British Columbia within 3 months of employment
- Possess a Class 5 drivers licence
- Have the ability and willingness to go on inspection trips that may have a duration of one week or more
- Preferably have the following skills: a familiarity with structural design codes like the CHBDC and proficiency in structural analysis software programs such as SoFistik CSiBridge SAP2000.

Base compensation: $75000 to $103000 for North Vancouver location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education experience skill set and/or location
