Kitchen HelperEmployment/FLSA Status: Part-Time/Non-Exempt/Seasonal

Position Description: We are currently seeking an energetic person to join our team and perform the duties of the Kitchen Helper at our Head Start facilities. Through a respectful constructive

and energetic style guided by the objectives of the organization the position plays an integral role in the administration of Community Action programs. The Kitchen Helper must be detail oriented able to work independently with little supervision and ensure safety and cleanliness

within the Head Start Kitchen. The position must maintain confidentiality in all agency matters. This position will be a member of the Mining City Head Start # 1 Local #4419MEA- MFTAFT AFL- CIO.


Duties and Responsibilities: The Kitchen Helper is responsible for sanitizing washing loading and unloading breakfast and lunch dishes at Head Start. The Kitchen Helper is also responsible for delivery and pick-up of meals and dishes to and from the classrooms. It is essential for the

Dishwasher to maintain a clean and organized work environment according to CACFP guidelines and that all duties are complete in a timely manner.


Hours of Work:

6 hours a day

4 days a week M-Th ( 1 Friday per month)

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Must have good public relations skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees children and their families and the general public.

Must be insurable.

Will be required to submit to a criminal background check and fingerprinting.

Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
