Job Description:

The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is seeking a Systems Development Verification and Test Engineer to join our Systems Engineering organization in a full time position at our Missile Solutions Sector headquarters in Huntsville AL. This engineering role primarily involves critical testing on multiple ongoing and future solid propulsion system development programs.

Essential Functions:

• Support and in some areas lead solid rocket motor and controllable solid rocket motor development test programs.

• System integration system development and verification planning test planning testing in various environments system and subsystem test test equipment and facility coordination.

• Test article assembly coordination and hardware assessment instrumentation requirements and coordination.

• Test readiness review and risk assessment and verification and test report documentation.

• Up to 30% business travel in support of offsite testing.

• Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Engineering/Science or other relevant discipline/science with 6years of directly related engineering experienceGraduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in preparing test plans test readiness review presentations and test reports.

• Experience coordinating integrated teams for propulsion system testing.

• Experience in propulsion system (primarily solid propulsion) testing is highly desired.

• Demonstrated leadership competency and solid communication skills in both verbal and written.
