This role is based at the Adele House Alcohol and Other Drug Facility in Coffs Harbour and is part of a small team coordinating training and lifeskills support for the residents. These roles work alongside the clinical staff but primarily look after training and wellbeing activities as part of an integrated model of care in which lifeskills and job-readiness are acknowledged as important outcomes of an individuals recovery journey.
AsActivities Coordinator you will design and deliver therapeutic skills-based group programs in horticulture and grounds management. Your work will play a vital role in our integrated care model promoting job readiness and personal growth in a welcoming inclusive environment for both residents and staff.
Develop and deliver training programs in organic gardening ground management hydroponics and other horticulture projects at Adele House.
Facilitate horticulture skills training and supervise residents ongoing practice.
Coordinate external training with Registered Training Organisations consultants experts and volunteers.
Create opportunities for training events and social connection among residents.
Expand training programs through partnerships and pilot initiatives involving resident feedback.
Support residents transition to further training or volunteering post-residence.
Document and develop training materials and curricula.
Manage logistics events data collection and program evaluation.
Follow up with ex-residents on skills development and employment outcomes.
Practical experience in gardening landscaping or forestry or similar field
Ability to lead and support group activities with sensitivity to clients from vulnerable backgrounds
Current NSW driver licence
Strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach
