International SOS Government Medical Services Inc. is looking for a Paramedic to provide medical coverage at the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) near Richmond KY. The Paramedic will provide emergency medical care to ill or injured employees at the project site
- Provides emergency medical care to ill or injured employees at the project site.
- Assists the designated physician or senior medical professional in providing medical services on the project under project physician direction and local governing agencies.
- Performs duties under moderate supervision.
- Knowledgeable of health risk and disease management.
- Attends to follow-up treatment and refers serious injuries to the designated physician advanced practice registered nurse physician assistant or to a hospital per the written protocol and standing orders.
- Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved project treatment protocols and standing orders.
- Maintains medical records of employees treated including case histories and health examination reports; prepares accident reports for workers compensation or other purposes as directed.
- Assists in planning health education programs and in providing information to employees either written or verbal on the prevention of illness.
- Conducts drug and alcohol screenings as required.
- Assists the project medical director in providing immunizations and medical treatment to employees per individual scope of practice
- Maintains an adequate medical supply inventory as required.
- Participates in training of First Aid/Rescue Teams as assigned.
- Participates in medical support to the chemical surety program.
- Participates as a member of the Medical Response Team as defined by Secretary of the Army Memorandum Army Directive 2013-03 (Chemical Accident or Incident Response and Assistance) 04 April 2013.
- Conducts occupational health screens as approved in the scope of practice and per standard operating procedures.
- Executes all other medical duties as assigned by the project medical services coordinator.
- Complete required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Emergency Medical Services or Paramedicine and completion of an accredited paramedic training program and 1 year of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree completion of an accredited paramedic training program and 7 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services.
- Current certification as a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
- Current state certification or licensure as a paramedic preferred (Must be able to obtain a Kentucky state certification as a paramedic within 90 days).
- Current healthcare provider BLS and ACLS certification.
- Must successfully complete a physical agility test.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any security clearances required for this position according to Army Regulation 50- 6 (Chemical Surety).
- ABLS Advanced Burn Life Support.
- PHTLS Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced life support and trauma qualifications to include extrication of persons from constrained places bend and lift and perform CPR for extended periods of time
- Skills in verbal and written communication.
- Working knowledge in basic computer programs such as Word Excel and Access.
- The ability to lift and maneuver with assistance and without difficulty.
- The ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty and the ability to lift and carry up and down two flights of stairs with assistance and without difficulty.
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to walk one-quarter of a mile without difficulty and without affecting the immediate performance of job-related duties.
- Can handle extreme stress in crisis situations.
- Ability to assess emergency scenes.
- Operate standard equipment; such as stretchers cots patient care monitors and standard diagnostic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently certified to collect urine drug screens.
- Currently certified to conduct saliva and breathe alcohol testing.
- Currently certified as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist through (CAOHC).
- Currently certified to perform pulmonary function testing per NIOSH.
- Has taken the Toxic Chemical Training for Medical Support Personnel Course.
- Working knowledge of the Chemical Surety program.
Required Languages:
- Excellent written and oral English.

Additional Information :
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
Comp: Min $38 Max $42
