The Analytical Laboratory Technician provides essential support to the Analytical Laboratory by ensuring raw materials intermediates and finished goods are sampled prepared for testing tested and approved with proper paperwork in a timely manner. Responsibilities encompass both product safety and quality parameters as appropriate. This position will be assigned to off shift hours (second or third shift or a combination of both) and be required to work on weekends if needed.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sampling of raw materials as they are received
Testing raw materials intermediate products and finished goods for: Specific Gravity Refractive Index FTIR pH Melting Point Color Taste preparation and analysis Peroxide Values Moisture Analysis Flash Point Water Activity GC etc.
Equipment Calibrations
Verification of raw material identity supporting documentation labels etc.
Verification of finished good records
Documentation data entry recordkeeping
Active participation in sensory panels
Other duties as assigned
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sharp analytical skills used to discern / diagnose trends and issues and use past historical references as a guide
Well organized and able to exercise sound judgment in decision making
Ability to follow all safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) when in the manufacturing environment
Ability to follow all safety requirements and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) when in the laboratory
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint etc. or ability to learn needed software system(s)
Proficient in basic mathematical skills
Ability to perform routine data entry in a proficient and accurate manner
Ability to work well independently or within a team setting
Sound skills related to interpretation of documents (safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals)
Good writing skills for filing reports and drafting routine correspondence
Effective at verbal communication skills
The pay range for this position is $19.97 - $28.19.
