The Opportunity
This is a new role reporting to the Global Brand Strategy Director. The Senior Strategist will support a global Center of Excellence covering brand strategy brand management and nomenclature. The importance of establishing and delivering a consistent and clear brand across all aspects of our work is paramount. These groups include but are not limited to our business units vehicle and product design experiences internal communications external media communications human resources and our dealers. As such this role will have close connection with virtually every group within the company.
The Position
The Senior Brand Strategist will support the development and implementation of brand-led strategies across the enterprise. This person should be a strong conceptual thinker a clear and compelling communicator and a collaborative partner. This role is ideal for someone who can connect the dots between insight brand and business and enjoys crafting thoughtful clear and action-oriented deliverables.
ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do...
- Guide the articulation and application of Fords brand strategy across the enterprise including:
- Brand architecture and sub-brand development
- Extending the brand strategy across regional markets supporting and influencing strategic direction and campaign development
- Bringing Fords brand to life internally by elevating the employer brand and designing and implementing initiatives that inspire and engage employees
- Partner with stakeholders across product design marketing and customer experience to align brand expression
- Lead the development and ongoing refinement of brand guidelines and toolkits to ensure strategic clarity and creative excellence.
- Oversee brand consistency across global teams initiatives and customer touchpoints serving as a central steward of the brand
- Contribute to naming logic and architecture across Fords product and service ecosystem ensuring that naming decisions reflect our positioning lifestyle audiences and long-term vision
- Partner with the nomenclature team to shape naming principles advocate for consistency across sub-brands and provide the strategic rationale needed to gain alignment on more complex or contentious naming decisions
- Distill research findings and competitive intelligence into actionable brand insights
- Write briefs prepare presentations structure and run workshops alongside the Global Brand Strategy Director
- Review agency briefing and output ensuring quality delivery
QualificationsYoull have...
- Bachelors degree or commensurate work experience required.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant with a bachelors degree
- 10 years of experience in brand strategy
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with executives and preparing presentations for senior leaders
- Strong communication and storytelling skills especially in presentation format
- Familiarity with brand architecture portfolio strategy and naming systems
- Strength in developing insights and applying them to shape strategic decisions

- Masters degree or commensurate work experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with a masters degree.
- Brand-side experience
- A mix of in-house and agency brand strategy experience
- Highly collaborative and organized with a bias for action
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Open-minded curious and culturally engaged
- Strong point of view but flexible in approach; thrives in complex environments
