Key Responsibilities

As the Operations Manager you will lead the seamless coordination of the companys supply chain logistics and customer fulfillment efforts. Your responsibilities will include:

Supply Chain & Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory across purchasing receiving warehousing and fulfillment
  • Ensure efficient restocking processes accurate order processing and cost-effective delivery
  • Liaise with domestic and international suppliers on shipping schedules and cost negotiations

Warehouse & Delivery Oversight:

  • Manage warehouse staff scheduling and order processing to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

  • Ensures safety standards and efficiency in all back-end operations

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Oversee all HR functions across the organization including hiring onboarding performance management and compliance
  • Work with all divisions to build strong motivated teams through coaching training and professional development
  • Ensure adherence to all employment regulations health and safety standards and internal policies

Customer Service & Complaint Resolution

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for escalated customer concerns and complaints
  • Investigate and resolve service issues with a focus on maintaining customer satisfaction and brand integrity
  • Work with teams across sales delivery and operations to ensure seamless end-to-end service
  • Implement proactive strategies to reduce complaints and improve service processes

Property & Facility Management

  • Manage day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the retail showroom and warehouse facilities
  • Coordinate with external vendors for cleaning HVAC repairs landscaping and other building services
  • Monitor and manage building-related budgets utility costs and service contracts
  • Lease management for building tenants

Process Improvement & Reporting:

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and develop systems to improve workflows and reduce costs.
  • Track and report on key operational KPIs providing insights to ownership.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Education & Experience:
    o A diploma or degree in Business Operations Management or Supply Chain is preferred.
    o 57 years of experience in operations logistics or supply chain roles ideally within retail or furniture environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    o Proficiency with inventory management systems and operational software (e.g. ERP systems).
    o Familiarity with logistics warehousing and supply chain platforms is an asset.
  • Key Competencies:
    o Strong organizational analytical and leadership skills.
    o A proactive mindset with the ability to implement systems and lead teams toward operational excellence.
