Follett Content Solutions helps build a diverse collection of print and digital resources to support every student. We are currently hiring for a Full Stack Development. This position is an Exempt & full-time position located in McHenry pay range for this position is $120000 - $130000 annually with bonus eligibility. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office (Monday Tuesday & Thursday) and 2 remote days (Wednesday & Friday). We offer an array of benefits to see those benefits click here.
Any pay range disclosed is based upon a combination of neutral factors such as required qualifications experience education skill training certifications seniority etc. Follett Content Solutions reserves the right to provide any successful candidate a salary at the most appropriate level set as a result of such candidate qualifications experience education skill training certifications or seniority.
Job Summary
Follett Content is seeking a Full Stack Developer to drive the modernization of our legacy systems using and cloud technologies. This role provides both hands-on technical leadership and strategic guidance while mentoring a growing team of developers. Youll play a key role in shaping the next chapter of our technology stack as we enhance platforms critical to education publishing and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using C#
- Lead modernization of legacy monolith systems into microservices-based cloud-ready solutions
- Define and implement DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and release automation using Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Collaborate with product managers business analysts and other IT teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
- Guide code reviews enforce coding standards and ensure secure maintainable codebases
- Support database development and performance optimization using SQL Server and Azure SQL
- Mentor and coach developers at various levels providing technical leadership and promoting professional growth
- Drive continuous improvement through automation tooling and adoption of new technologies
- Develop scripts and automation solutions using PowerShell and related tools
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of professional software development experience with deep expertise in C#
- Strong knowledge of full-stack development microservices and containerization technologies
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines Git/GitHub and Azure DevOps
- Expertise in relational databases including SQL Server and Azure SQL
- Proven experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
- Demonstrated leadership in technical design implementation and developer mentorship
- Solid understanding of secure development practices and modern SDLC methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Familiarity with AI development tools or frameworks
- Prior experience training or onboarding developers
- Background in Agile or hybrid development environments
