The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Dental Hygienist to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Fremont Nebraska where you will provide high-quality patient-centered dental care for all. Utilizing an integrated care approach our providers work collaboratively to address all aspects of patients health and believe that exceptional compassionate care should be accessible and affordable for all. Medical dental behavioral health and outreach services are coordinated to ensure well-rounded comprehensive care.

Your Role:
- Perform routine treatment procedures such as prophylactic cleaning scaling and root planing coronal polishing taking radiographs application of sealants and fluoride treatments and other related procedures
- Perform periodontal assessment caries assessment and all required / appropriate document charting while collaborating with the dentist
- Monitor Nitrous Oxide
- Provide oral health (and systemic health correlation) education explain treatment plans and treatment options to patients
- Review patient history and take blood pressure and pulse vitals
- Practice universal precautions and other sterilization and infection control procedures
What We Are Looking For:
- Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene
- Current license as a dental hygienist in the state of Nebraska
- Current local anesthetic certification
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices
- Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
- Current certificate in BLS
- Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred but not required; if not bilingual must have the ability to work with an interpreter if needed
