Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products Decatur is actively seeking a dynamic individual for the security guard position located in our facility. Our team demonstrates a firm commitment to taking care of our customers and a strong belief in work-life balance to maintain a safe positive and engaging environment.
- Ensure compliance with all rules regulations and company guidelines regarding the safety of visitors and carriers coming on and leaving our facility.
- Communication and coordination with other departments relating to deliveries and visitor appointments.
- Communication with loading and receiving crews for timely coordination of incoming and outgoing loads. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards always.
This role is designed as a short-term position. The teammate must remain in the position for at least six months before becoming eligible to apply for a Production role. During this six-month period the teammate will be expected to cross-train in Production to ensure they are prepared to transition into a Production position when eligible.
We are not offering sponsorship for this position at this time.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts nights and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aptitude to learn various computer applications to support the shipment of finished goods.
- Highly detail oriented organized and capable of working in a steady-paced environment.
- Bilingual
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
