About the Role
You are accountable to the Manager of Pastoral and Spiritual Care to provide professional pastoral/spiritual care for patients and families as part of the holistic care offered by all facilitities of St Vincents Hospital Melbourne.
Provide effective pastoral/spiritual care for patients and families respecting differing value systems beliefs and practices
Assess and prioritise pastoral/spiritual needs and develop appropriate care plans
Assist with the provision of religious and spiritual resources
Articulate the role of pastoral/spiritual care within the multidisciplinary teams and education sessions
Bereavement Support in line with SVHM bereavement Model
Foster collegiality and collaboration within the Pastoral/Spiritual Team with Nurse Unit Managers medical and multidisciplinary teams
Classifications for this position will range from XM9 XM12($69378.40 - $77615.20 per annum pro rata).
Your Contribution
At least 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education with plan to undertake 2nd Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education in near future.
Demonstrated extensive experience in Pastoral/Spiritual Care
Engage in regular professional pastoral/spiritual care supervision
Spiritual Care Australia Membership
Current National criminal history check or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain

About Pastoral and Spiritual Care Services
Pastoral and Spiritual Care Services is a department within the Mission Services Directorate. Practitioners and chaplains work in the acute sub-acute aged palliative correctional and mental health settings as part of collaborative interdisciplinary teams.
