As a Chemical or Gas Technician you will be required to work with and support team members on routine tasks. You are also required to use your troubleshooting skills to identify/resolve maintenance issues cost savings and safety hazards. Will be asked to perform independent projects to resolve technical problems with little supervision while demonstrating the sites core values. Your training and learning of group procedures and job responsibilities will be provided to you under the mentorship of a supervisor or authority teammate.
Responsibilities:
- Implement to all site standards for safety environment security quality and housekeeping
- Perform safety analyses (JHA) as needed
- Monitor TRAIN profile
- Complete daily Maximo tasks such as entries into order log of work performed changing work order status as required daily time sheet entries and verifying work order is assigned to the accurate FPM
- Complete accurate time accountability and record in Maximo and SAP
- Ensure the shop and other work areas are clean and orderly
- Research and order parts through ordering system (e.g. MATREQ Reqit)
- Be an active participant in the EHSS program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (ERT Supervision etc.)
- Be proactive in reducing incidents of personal injuries safety hazards or environmental releases
- Prioritize tasks optimally and complete assigned duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine and intermediate troubleshooting and accurately diagnose gas or chemical equipment and systems
- Perform routine repairs rebuilds or replacement of equipment systems
- Use standard electrical and electronic diagnostic equipment and precision-measuring tools
- Take chemical samples using approved methods and deliver them to the Micron Lab for analysis.
- Interpret data received from the lab to resolve if chemical meets the required specification for use.
- Perform intermediate to sophisticated preventative and corrective maintenance on all industrial equipment to include filter replacement accurate equipment lubrication valve actuator repair valve pipe or pump replacement system cleaning system flushing impeller clearance adjustment seal replacement motor replacement pump rebuild and bearing replacement
Minimum Qualifications:
- Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments including night shift
- Skills in Microsoft products (Word Excel Outlook Internet Explorer and InfoPath) Maximo Reqit Matreq and Train
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) with the need to stand the entire shift and lift equipment
- Background in mechanical and/or chemical
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education in industry related associate degree; working towards a STEM related degree; equivalent military training and experience; equivalent work experience
- A shown understanding of industrial facilities systems and inter-related subject areas
- Applied proficiency in mechatronics robotics fundamentals of electricity technical writing electrical power and machinery or statics
- Prior semiconductor experience
