POSITION PURPOSE
OIC Inc. is seeking a licensed patient-centered Staff Dentist to join our Dental Health Services team. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive preventive and restorative oral care to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will bring clinical excellence and a passion for community-based care while participating in quality improvement initiatives and oral health education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine teeth gums and related tissues using dental instruments x-rays and diagnostic equipment to evaluate dental health diagnose diseases or abnormalities and plan appropriate treatments.
Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans for patients oral health needs.
Use air turbines hand instruments dental appliances and surgical tools to perform dental procedures.
Advise and instruct patients regarding preventive dental care oral health maintenance and treatment options.
Design impress adjust and cement prosthodontic appliances such as space maintainers bridges and dentures; write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for dental laboratories.
Diagnose and treat diseases injuries and malformations of teeth gums and related oral structures; provide preventive and corrective services.
Perform endodontic treatments including pulp capping root canal therapy and filling pulp chambers and canals.
Prescribe medications including antibiotics and analgesics as needed.
Analyze and evaluate dental needs to identify changes and trends in dental disease patterns.
Correct occlusions and remove irritating margins of fillings.
Perform oral and periodontal surgeries including removal of diseased tissue.
Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
Bleach clean and polish teeth to restore natural appearance.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures referrals prescriptions and treatments rendered.
Manage and supervise dental support staff to ensure smooth operations.
Plan organize and maintain dental health programs and may produce or evaluate educational materials.
Provide after-hours emergency counseling or care as necessary.
