Job Description:
L3Harris Technologiesis currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Environmental Test Group in Salt Lake City Utah. This Engineer will beresponsible for supporting defining and operating Environmental Test Equipment to validate and qualify product performance in specific environmental test conditions. The Engineer will work with both operations and design engineering to design experiments and validate product performance across a wide variety of MIL-STD requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Understanding of engineering architecture and design concepts along with an understanding of the engineering practices and procedures required to develop test and deploy test systems.
- An ABET (EAC/CAC) accredited bachelors with a minimum of 6 years prior related experience or Master of Science degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum of 4 years prior related experience or equivalent technical education and experience
- Experience in product development (preferably in military application environment)
- Experience in Environmental Testing with Mil-Spec criteria
- Experience in manufacturing and manufacturing test development
- Technical presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
- Ability to obtain andmaintain a security clearance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

- Understanding of Cryogenics & experience with Mil-STD 810
- Superb analytical project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to promote collaboration among the program team
